A look at the Nintendo Summer of Play Tour, with stops from coast to coast
Nintendo is hosting a Nintendo Summer of Play Tour through Aug. 28, 2023, offering fans of all ages a free chance to interact with their favorite Nintendo characters and learn more about their worlds.
The Nintendo Summer of Play Tour offers something for every type of player, from competitive players looking to brawl it out in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, to gamers who want to explore Kirby’s Return to Dream Land with others.
Nintendo Summer of Play Tour Activities:
- Speed down Rainbow Road with Mario and friends in the Booster Course Pass DLC for the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe game
- Take a snapshot with Pikachu and other Pokémon featured in the Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet games
- Relax by a campfire with Tom Nook and Isabelle with a photo-op from the Animal Crossing: New Horizons game
- Pose with plant-like creatures in an oversized garden from the upcoming Pikmin 4 game (launching July 21)
- Explore the Kingdom of Hyrule with Link while playing the action-adventure game The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom
Guests will receive a free Nintendo Summer of Play passport, which can be stamped after participating in activities, and, once completed, can be redeemed for free Nintendo swag (while supplies last), and a chance to play a Nintendo claw machine. Attendees can also stop by the Play Nintendo Mushroom Kingdom Yourself Photobooth for a digital keepsake.

- July 28-31, 2023 – Barton Creek Square in Austin, Tex.
- Aug 10-13, 2023 – The Gateway in Salt Lake City, Utah
- Aug 17-20, 2023 – FlatIron Crossing in Denver, Colo.
- Aug 25-28, 2023 – Santa Monica Place in Los Angeles, Calif.
