All-new 123 Playground coming to Sesame Place Philadelphia in 2024
Sesame Place Philadelphia will introduce the all-new 3,000-square-foot interactive 123 Playground in Spring 2024.
The imaginative and colorful play area will be located just across from the iconic Sesame Street Neighborhood (at the former site of the Sunny Day Carousel). It will feature classic playground elements like slides, soft play mounds, interactive play panels, plus topiaries modeled after favorite Sesame Street friends.
“After speaking with many of our guests and Season Pass Members, the most requested attraction for our park has been a playground where children of all ages can climb, hop, and play, and we’re so excited to bring this request to life,” said Cathy Valeriano, Park President of Sesame Place Philadelphia. “Families come to Sesame Place to enjoy rides and attractions suited for all ages, and the 123 Playground will provide a charming and welcoming spot for our youngest guests to play and relax together.”
The 123 Playground will be centrally located, with easy access to dining, shopping, and character meet and greets. The Sunny Day Carousel (currently being renovated) will open in its new location in the center of Sesame Plaza in Spring 2024.

2024 Season Passholders will be among the first to experience the new 123 Playground. For a limited time, guests can purchase a 2024 Season Pass for as low as $99 and receive a free bonus ticket for friends and family. Those who buy passes now will also receive unlimited visits to Sesame Place throughout 2024, plus the remainder of A Very Furry Christmas in 2023.
