Harris Douros, the C.E.O. of Paradox Museums, explained, “We offer an experience that will open up new perspectives and touch the hearts and minds of those who wish to truly challenge their senses.

“With the scope of a venue like American Dream, we have a unique opportunity here to engage guests through interactive exhibits and moments of thrilling discovery.”

Paradox, which has existing museums in Oslo, Norway, and Stockholm, Sweden, bills itself as an “edutainment” center as it aims to explain the science behind its enigmatic views and fun photo opportunities.

The museum will also add to American Dream’s existing line-up of larger-than-life attractions, shops, and dining options in East Rutherford, which span more than three million square feet and includes the award-winning DreamWorks Water Park, Nickelodeon Universe Theme Park, SeaLife Aquarium, Big Snow indoor ski slope, and more.

Full-service restaurants include Yard House gastropub, the contemporary Italian cuisine of Carpaccio, sports bar 1st Rnd, and flagship venue House of ’Que, with its authentic Austin barbecue, while Peruvian-themed Jarana and interactive wine bar Vinoteca are due to open soon.

Among the 400-plus shops are Saks Fifth Avenue, Hermes, and Dolce & Gabana, as well as the revival of the iconic Toys R Us toy store, with a flagship location at American Dream.
