Disney California Adventure Park will again be hosting Anaheim Ducks Day on Jan. 12, 2023 for guests with a valid park ticket and park reservation. There will be special hockey activities, photo opportunities, themed merchandise, and specialty food and beverage options to celebrate the NHL hockey team with a unique Disney connection. For the first time, the Downtown Disney District will also be taking part in the occasion.

Anaheim Ducks Day special activities
Players on the Ducks squad can be seen in the Anaheim Ducks Cavalcade at 1:30 p.m. along the performance corridor between Paradise Gardens and Hollywood Land.
In the Fan Zone at the Hyperion Courtyard, guests can test their hockey skills in themed activities and take part in interactive photo opportunities from the park’s opening to 6 p.m.
The Animation Academy will have classes throughout the day, where artists teach how to draw Disney “ducks” to take home as souvenirs. The Disneyland app will have more info on operating hours and showtimes for the Animation Academy.
At the Hollywood Backlot Stage, Anaheim Ducks players will be doing meet and greets at 2:15 p.m., 3 p.m., and 3:45 p.m. Wristbands to enter this experience are not an additional charge, but availability will be extremely limited, so if you don’t want to miss meeting some hockey stars your best bet is to grab a wristband in the Hollywood Backlot area near the Stage 12 patio adjacent to the Hollywood Backlot Stage at park opening. The wristband offers one meet and greet experience per guest. No autographs will be allowed.
Outside Super Store featuring Avengers Campus, there will be a limited run of merchandise including a T-shirt, spirit jersey, baseball cap, beanie, a commemorative hockey puck, and a limited-edition pin. These items and more will be exempt from discount, and purchase limits will apply.
Anaheim Ducks Day food and beverage
A hockey puck-themed brownie, complete with the Anaheim Ducks Day event logo, can be purchased at Studio Catering Co. and Schmoozies. If you don’t care for chocolate, Trolley Treats and Marceline’s Confectionery will offer an orange creme puck and vending carts throughout Hollywood Land will have orange-flavored cotton candy, as well.
Experiences at Downtown Disney
In the Downtown Disney District on Jan. 12 and 13 from 12 p.m.-6 p.m., a DJ for the Anaheim Ducks team will be hosting special fan experiences between Splitsville Luxury Lanes and Tortilla Jo’s. Immersive photo opportunities will also be available at this time.
The Anaheim Ducks got their start in the National Hockey League in 1993, when Disney founded them as the Mighty Ducks of Anaheim, a reference to the previous year’s “The Mighty Ducks” film. Since then, ownership has changed, and the team just goes by the Anaheim Ducks now, but the connection to the Disney brand continues with this recurring event.
