Massive building under construction spotted from Magic Kingdom’s Swiss Family Treehouse
Guests exploring the Swiss Family Treehouse at Magic Kingdom may discover an unexpected view of a massive building under construction beyond Adventureland.

Admittedly, the Swiss Family Treehouse wasn’t my first choice for our next stop at Magic Kingdom on Oct. 28, 2026. My son was eager to climb it, while I had something else in mind. But it’s one of his favorite attractions, and knowing there will probably come a day when he’s no longer quite so excited about exploring it, I gave in.
Funny enough, once we reached the upper walkways, I spotted something that stopped me in my tracks: a massive building under construction beyond Adventureland.

Suddenly, I was the one who didn’t want to leave. As I snapped photos and recorded video of the unexpected view, my son — who had been rushing me to get to the treehouse just minutes earlier — was now rushing me to keep moving.
What is Disney building behind Adventureland?
Through the branches of the Swiss Family Treehouse, we could clearly see a multi-story structure with exposed steel framing, tall wall sections and construction workers.

Although the building’s size initially made me wonder whether it was part of the upcoming Villains Land, aerial photography by bioreconstruct suggests it is a separate backstage construction project behind Adventureland.
BlogMickey reported in September that the multi-story structure could become a new parade support facility, potentially housing rehearsal space, offices and cast member areas. Disney has not officially confirmed the building’s intended purpose.

A surprising view from a classic Magic Kingdom attraction
The Swiss Family Treehouse has long offered elevated views of Adventureland, but its upper walkways now provide a glimpse of one of Magic Kingdom’s substantial backstage construction projects.
The trees block some of the view, but there’s still a clear look at the building’s upper floors from the Swiss Family Treehouse.

With Magic Kingdom undergoing major changes, including the future Villains Land and Piston Peak National Park, even a familiar attraction can offer an unexpected discovery.
