Beatrix restaurant coming to Disney Springs

Beatrix, the Chicago-based restaurant from Lettuce Entertain You, is opening its first Florida location (and first location outside of Illinois) at Disney Springs.

“Lettuce Entertain You is thrilled to be working with Disney to bring Beatrix to Disney Springs,” said R.J. Melman, president of Lettuce Entertain You. “Disney is a company we’ve long admired and we’re excited about this upcoming project.”

Beatrix will be developed at Disney Springs West Side, in the location currently occupied by Bongos Cuban Café. Owned by Gloria and Emilio Estefan, Bongos announced its closing earlier this summer.

The restaurant will feature a full-service restaurant, coffee bar and lounge, a grab-and-go market, fresh-squeezed juices, and an in-house bakery. The menu will offer “healthful comfort food” including vegetarian, gluten-free and vegan options, fresh-squeezed juice cocktails and an American beer and wine selection.

“Beatrix represents the way people are eating today,” said Marc Jacobs, executive partner and divisional president. “It’s that mix of health and comfort. Whether grabbing a cup of coffee and your favorite pastry, or having a cocktail, lunch, or dinner with friends, it’s your neighborhood meeting place.”
