Blackpool Pleasure Beach will pay you to ride roller coasters
Have you ever wanted to get paid for riding roller coasters? Do you have a good head for heights, a strong stomach, and like going upside down? If so, Blackpool Pleasure Beach is recruiting for a “Roller Coaster Test Rider.”
Blackpool Pleasure Beach in England opens for the season on March 18, 2023, and the historic amusement park, founded in 1896, wants to hire a thrill-seeking new employee.
This new employee must be ready to work beginning March 13, 2023, and will help ensure the park’s ten roller coasters are ready to go before opening day. According to Blackpool Pleasure Beach, this exclusive position will ensure every amusement park roller coaster offers “maximum thrill and excitement “for guests.
If selected, the individual should have “a unique sense of fun and excitement” to help the park meet guests’ expectations.
The successful applicant will be expected to test numerous rides and report on what Blackpool Pleasure Beach calls key “fun factors”, including speed, thrills, and excitement levels. The Roller Coaster Test Rider will also advise where they think improvements could be made to increase the fun factor on individual rides. If necessary, they may work with the operations department to devise ideas for future projects and may even have the chance to travel to other European parks to provide feedback about rides at other amusement parks.
Candidates must be 16 years old or above and must be at least 1.32 meters (about 52 inches) tall. The amusement park mentioned that previous experience riding roller coasters and thrill rides would be preferred.
