As part of a weeklong reveal event by Universal Orlando Resort, we’ve got our first look at the Blast-Ended Skrewts that will be found inside Hagrid’s Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure, opening on June 13 at Universal’s Islands of Adventure.
For the first time ever, guests will be able to encounter a creature that’s never been seen in the films. Described as a cross between a scorpion and a crab, Skrewts aren’t afraid to attack others of their species they encounter and have very strong armor that can’t be penetrated by spells. They also shoot fire from their rear ends… as well as a smell of rotting fish.
On Hagrid’s Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure, you’ll encounter Blast-Ended Skrewts that are up to 8 feet long with tails up to 10 feet high and topped with a giant stinger. This creature will be Hagrid’s main lesson for your adventure, though things may not go according to plan…
