Blumhouse considering making a Halloween Horror Nights movie
According to Collider’s Peri Nemiroff, Jason Blum and his team at Blumhouse are considering making a movie inspired by Halloween Horror Nights.
During an interview with Blum and Ike Barinholtz for the production company’s latest release, “The Hunt,” Nemiroff asked if the film would have a presence at Universal’s annual Halloween event this year. Both were excited about the idea, and from there, a possible film was discussed:
“Yes! Definitely! We’ve actually talked about it. We haven’t quite figured it out, but there’s definitely a movie in Halloween Horror Nights somewhere,” said Blum.
What immediately comes to mind for us is a film centered around the original icon of the event, Jack the Clown. His origin story would certainly make for an interesting, and even world-building entry as a Horror Nights-focused film.
For now, this comment from Blum is just a comment, though we’ll keep our fingers crossed for any developments!
