Brasserie Rosalie opened Dec. 8, 2023, at Disneyland Paris, bringing traditional French cuisine to the resort’s Disney Village shopping and dining district.

“Brasserie” may not be a common word to American travelers, but the concept is well-known in France. Merriam-Webster defines “brasserie” as “an informal, usually French restaurant serving simple, hearty food.”

“Modernity Will Enchant This Traditional and Unmistakable Place”

Bertrand Group (or Groupe Bertrand) and Walt Disney Imagineering collaborated to create Brasserie Rosalie. The Royal Pub, which opened earlier this year at Disney Village, is also operated by Bertrand.

“In collaboration with Disneyland Paris, we were keen to bring a touch of modernity to enchant this traditional and unmistakable place that is the French brasserie,” said Camille Fournier, marketing director at Bertrand Hospitality, “and we can’t wait to welcome our first customers.”

Inside hangs a chandelier furnished by AC3, a Parisian studio. Outside, two levels of terraces provide diners with viewers of Lake Disney.

The Transformation of Disney Village

Brasserie Rosalie is part of an ongoing renovation of Disney Village at large. Disney first announced the multi-year project in 2022 and revealed additional details earlier this year.

The wood, brick, and metal textures of Brasserie Rosalie’s exterior offer a sneak peek, of sorts, of Disney’s plans for the continued aesthetic spruce-up of Disney Village.

Disney Village transformation

“We are delighted to collaborate with Groupe Bertrand … to open Brasserie Rosalie,” said Jillian DeKunder, director of operating participants at Disneyland Paris, “the first of the new, exciting dining concepts that we will gradually offer to Disney Village guests in the coming years.”

Brasserie Rosalie replaced the former Café Mickey restaurant.

Planning Your Visit

Brasserie Rosalie is now open daily from 8:30-10:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. – 11:30 p.m. (except for Sundays, when closing time is 11 p.m.). These “opening hours” seem to differ from the restaurant’s intended long-term operating schedule, so consult its website prior to your visit.

For the time being, Brasserie Rosalie does not accept advance reservations (excluding Dec. 25, 2023). Availability is currently walk-up only. The restaurant’s website says it will begin accepting reservations soon.

At most Disneyland Paris restaurants, guests can book a table up to two months in advance (or, for Disney resort guests at select restaurants, as soon as they book overnight accommodations).

A fine-print footnote on the Disneyland Paris website indicates Brasserie Rosalie is excluded from the Disney Meal Plan.
