Busch Garden Tampa Bay’s Serengeti Flyer opens Feb. 27

Announced by Busch Gardens Tampa Bay, Serengeti Flyer, the 68 mile-per-hour duel-swinging thrill ride will open Feb. 27. This screaming swing will take riders 135 feet above the park, and Busch Gardens Pass Holders will get early preview rides soon.

With each swing, riders will soar higher and higher above Busch Gardens Tampa Bay. Riders will experience multiple negative-G moments before plunging back toward the Earth. Serengeti Flyer will feature twin dueling arms that soar progressively higher reaching speeds of 68 mph and a maximum height of 135 feet at the ride’s peak. Guests will be seated back-to-back in rows of 10 across two gondolas, allowing for 40 guests to experience the ride at once.

Busch Gardens Tampa Bay Pass Members can complete the Passport to Thrills program by visiting Busch Gardens Tampa Bay one time each in December, January, and February. Those who visited Guest Relations or the Pass Lounge on each visit and pick up that month’s ticket can come back Feb. 24 and present their tickets. This will allow access for entry into the exclusive Passport to Thrills event. The event features the first opportunity for Pass Members to ride Serengeti Flyer as well as free snacks, drinks, and commemorative button.
