Elmo, Big Bird, Cookie Monster and all of your favorite Sesame Street friends are back to celebrate a fun family weekend at Busch Gardens Tampa Bay this May.
“Sesame Street Safari of Fun” kids’ weekends will run from May 6-7 and May 13-14 from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. The weekend will feature crafting stations, character parades at the top of each hour, and dance parties.
Each weekend will have its own theme, and special events to go along with it. For May 6-7, the theme is “Rubber Duckie Weekend,” and guests will be able to go on a scavenger hunt for Ernie’s Rubber Duckies, as well as win a special prize for finding them all.
The theme for May 13-14 is “Cookie Monster Weekend,” and guests will be able to party and hang out with Cookie Monster, as well as enjoy yummy snacks and treats courtesy of TG Lee and Busch Gardens Tampa Bay.
Special events are also scheduled for Sesame Street Safari of Fun, like “Rubber Duckie and Cookie Monster Paint with Me,” where kids and their parents can enjoy meet-and-greets with Sesame Street favorites, and then enjoy a 45-minute painting session. Reservations for this particular event are required, and the price for the reservation includes a spot for one adult and one child.
Another event that families can take part in during this special two-weekend event is “Lunch with Elmo and Friends,” where the entire family can enjoy a character buffet lunch and visit with their favorite Sesame Street characters, as well as snag some adorable photo opportunities. Annual pass member discounts are available for this experience.
