Busch Gardens Williamsburg Food & Wine Festival has expanded for 2022
Busch Gardens Williamsburg brings back its annual Food & Wine Festival, which runs from April 28-June 12, 2022, with two new locations and 30 new dishes to sample.
Food & Wine Festival adds two globally inspired locations
Australia and Greece join the lineup of food and beverage kiosks, bringing to total to 15 globally inspired locations.
Try succulent dishes such as Australia’s Snag on the Barbie (sausage with vegemite caramelized onions) and Lamington Cake (sponge cake with raspberry jam, chocolate, and coconut), which pair well with an Aussie Mule or with Australian-made Fosters beer.
At the Greece location, sample authentic dishes including Tirokroketes (fried cheese balls with tzatziki sauce) and Choriatiki Salata (traditional Greek salad with feta, cucumbers, red onions, tomatoes, and olives).
New bites and beverages to sample
Japan – Sample a mashup of Impossible meat and the country’s famous bao buns with the Impossi-Bao, made from Impossible meat tucked into a steamed bun and topped with Asian slaw, or try the Spicy Tuna Sushi Cup of sushi rice with nori flakes, tuna, and spicy mayo.
Italy – Sip the Luna Nuda and Roscato red wines, made in Italy, which pair well with Fettuccini & Sundried Tomato Alfredo (house made pasta, spinach, and kalamata olives).
Virginia – Get a “taste of home” by sampling the new Oyster on the Half Shell with mignonette, cocktail sauce, and lemon. Those of an adventurous nature can even add a shot of moonshine and turn the dish into an Oyster Shooter. Williamsburg Winery’s new Petit Manseng is also on offer, as are local beers and wine.
While visiting the Food & Wine Festival, guests can also enjoy live entertainment and the park’s attractions, including the thrilling new Pantheon multi-launch roller coaster.
The festival takes place on Thursday-Sunday from April 28-June 12, plus Memorial Day.
