Last Thursday during an investor conference, Walt Disney Parks and Resorts Chairman Tom Staggs talked about long-term plans for the theme parks. Among the good news presented about interactive queues and expansion plans was some future technology news that has some theme park fans worried.
You can see him every day at DisneyQuest helping guests build their own Cyberspace Mountain roller coaster and at Epcot in Ellen’s Energy Adventure. But next Wednesday, Feb. 23, Bill Nye The Science Guy will be live and in person in Innoventions West at Epcot as part of National Engineers Week.

This weekend, General Motors is presenting a three-day, cross-brand competitive test-drive event, hosted at Disney’s Epcot overflow parking area. The event will put Chevrolet, Buick, and GMC vehicles against 25 competitive makes. Plus the new electric Chevy Volt (pictured above at Test Track) will be on hand. Refreshments and family-friendly entertainment will also be available.
