Food Network watchers can join “Retro Rad” Chef Emily Ellyn at Bok Tower Gardens for her three day culinary residency on March 24 through 26.
Chef Emily Ellyn‘s weekend at Bok Tower begins on Friday, March 24th with Craft Beer Fiesta. Under the stars in Bok Tower’s outdoor kitchen, Emily will demonstrate her remakes of family-style dishes, using fresh ingredients from the Edible Garden and beer from 3-Daughters Brewing. Emily’s Beer inspired feast will include: Spiced Hard Cider Spritzer, Beer Buzzed Shrimp and Scallop Ceviche with Florida Blueberries, Braised Pork Tacos with Fennel Citrus Slaw and Chipotle Cream, Mexican Street Corn Salad, Stout Mexican Hot Chocolate Cupcakes, and Dulce de Cerveza Cupcakes. On Saturday, March 25th, Emily hosts Outdoor Kitchen Demos with cooking demonstrations for Chocolate Covered Strawberry Jam and Green Tomato Chutney in the Outdoor Kitchen using ingredients from Bok Tower’s Edible Garden. Ellyn’s culinary residency concludes on Sunday, March 26th, with Kids in the Kitchen. Kids will enjoy a tour of the Edible Garden and learn how to grow tomatoes, followed by a live cooking demo and lunchtime reading of the children’s book “Tomato Wisdom.” Lunch includes homemade tomato soup and grilled four-cheese sandwiches.
