Chessington World of Adventures to open new themed land in 2020
Chessington World of Adventures, the theme park in Surrey, United Kingdom, is opening a new land in 2020.

The new land, called The Rainforest, will invite kids to take the wheel on the Jungle Rangers attraction; splash down on the mini-log flume ride, River Rafts; and bounce up high on Treetop Hoppers — all while spotting creatures throughout the area, like tortoises and capybaras.
Joining the park’s 10 other lands, The Rainforest is inspired by the resort’s support of the international conservation charity, World Land Trust (WLT), which protects the world’s most biologically important and threatened habitats acre-by-acre. The hope for this new land is that guests will become more educated about the importance of conserving the world’s rainforests.

In addition to The Rainforest, the picture-book character Elmer, created by David McKee and published by Andersen Press, will fly into Chessington in 2020 with the new attraction, Elmer’s Flying Jumbos. On the ride, guests will pick a colorful elephant that will take them to the skies on a flying carousel surrounded by jungle and inspired by the Elmer books.
