Cypress Canopy Cycle lets you pedal through the treetops – a first in the U.S.A.

Located about an hour from Orlando is Florida EcoSafaris at Forever Florida. This 4,700-acre wildlife conservation area offer horseback riding, coach safari, zip lines and now, a chance to cycle through the treetops. Their brand new Cypress Canopy Cycle is a first in the United States and only the second location in the world.

“We’ve been on the lookout for a unique new adventure to offer to our guests that would let them experience the conservation efforts at Forever Florida in an entirely new way”, said Ken Wilshire, general manager. “The Cypress Canopy Cycle is a perfect fit for that and we’re excited to welcome our first riders.” The ride technology was developed by ECO‐Adventure Technologies and has been successfully operated for four years at the Hidden Worlds Adventure Park in Tulum, Mexico.

The adventure starts as each guest boards their own Canopy Cycle, think of them as reclining bicycles suspended from a network of high‐tension steel cables. Reaching heights up to 25 feet, guests will pedal their way through the treetops of the beautiful ecosystems. The cycle allows for up‐close treetop views of beautiful wild areas that would be otherwise inaccessible to guests. Winding through the cypress trees and dense foliage of the slough’s canopy, guests may spot anything from bromeliads to birds, butterflies and other treetop residents, not to mention their ground dwelling friends that might be splashing around below. Guests will want to bring a camera (with a strap) as the experience is perfectly suited to some truly unique nature photography.

Further along the one-hour journey is a new friend waiting to be made. Riders will pass right over a pond that’s home to George, a 13-foot alligator that’s called Forever Florida home for over 60 years. If you can take your eyes off the gator, you may also spot some of your fellow adventurers flying through the trees on the Zipline Safari as the two experiences converge near George’s pond for some fun interactions.

Tickets for the new Cypress Canopy Cycle are $45 per person. Participants must be at least 10 years old and weigh no more than 275 pounds. Adventurers can save $10 with a combination Zipline Safari and Cypress Canopy Cycle ticket for $120. Advance reservations are required and can be made by calling 407‐957‐9794 ext 1.
