D23 to host Halloween Hullabaloo with virtual Mousequerade and more

It’s almost that spooky time of year, and D23: The Official Disney Fan Club is celebrating with D23 Halloween Hullabaloo!

This year will mark D23’s first-ever virtual Halloween Mousequerade, a costume contest where contestants will compete for prizes in front of celebrity judges Ashley Eckstein and Yvette Nicole Brown.

This year’s category is “All Things Disney,” and costumes should be inspired by Disney, Pixar, Marvel and Star Wars, as well as the Disney Parks. The Grand Prize winner will receive a $500 Disney Gift Card. The competition will be streamed on Oct. 31 on D23.com, Facebook, and YouTube.

The frightful fun continues with the D23 Halloween Hullabaloo Sweepstakes, where D23 members can enter for a chance to win a bundle of prizes. Each week of October will offer a new chance to enter.

On Sept. 28 on shopDisney, D23 Gold and Gold Family members will have the opportunity to purchase two collectible pins designed by artist Kevin Kidney: one of the Haunted Mansion’s Hatbox Ghost and the other of Tinker Bell dressed as a witch. Each pin is offered as a limited edition of 1,750.

In addition, for the first four weeks of October, D23 will share a new short-form video series featuring favorite films on Disney+, as well as behind-the-scenes extras.

The D23 Halloween Mousequerade costume contest will open photo entry at 12 a.m. Pacific on Sept. 17, 2020, and will close at 11:59 p.m. Pacific on Oct. 1. If chosen as a semifinalist, video entry will begin at 9 a.m. Pacific on Oct. 13 and end at 9 a.m. Pacific on Oct. 20. You can find the official rules here.
