Dead Coconut Club coming to Universal Orlando as part of Halloween Horror Nights

The Red Coconut Club at Universal Orlando’s CityWalk is a nightclub described as “vintage Vegas with a tropical twist.” But this Halloween season, the Universal Monsters are taking over, and it’s becoming the Dead Coconut Club as part of Halloween Horror Nights 31.

The nightclub has been mostly closed since the pandemic, but now it’s reopening with a classic Universal Monsters theme and menu. The two-level club is located in the upper level of CityWalk, across from the Burger King/Panda Express/Moe’s area.

Universal hasn’t given a lot of details about the Dead Coconut Club, but they did tell us the club will be open select Halloween Horror Nights nights from 5 p.m. -1 a.m., with no cover or entry price. We know they will have specialty themed drinks, but we aren’t yet sure if they’ll also have small bites like the Red Coconut Club had.

The banners posted outside the club show classic Universal Monsters Dracula, The Mummy, Frankenstein, and The Creature from the Black Lagoon. Some fans on Twitter have posted photos looking inside through the windows, showing a banner saying “The Bride of Frankenstein: Entertainer, Singer, Living Corpse, and Dancer, accompanied by The Invisible Man on Piano.” We don’t yet know if Bride will really be singing and dancing in the club, or if any walk-around characters will be inside.

Another Tweet showed a statue of Frankenstein dressed in a white suit.

Dead Coconut Club menu

Horror Nights fans first saw signs of the Red Coconut Club becoming Dead Coconut Club in a themed ad posted outside the summer Tribute store in Universal Studios after it closed. Signs of it were also seen in the form of a Dead Coconut Club drink stirrer in All Hallows’ Eve Boutique in Islands of Adventure, and a drink menu, coaster and tiki mug in a window outside the Horror Make Up Show in Universal Studios.

There will also be a merchandise area next to the club.
