During the jam-packed presentation mapping out the future of Disney theme parks at D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event, Deadpool interrupted Josh D’Amaro, chairman of Disney Experiences, to pitch some theme park attraction ideas of his own.

D’Amaro’s presentation — formally titled “Horizons: Disney Experiences Showcase” though often nicknamed “the parks panel” — took place Aug. 10, 2024 at the Honda Center in Anaheim, Calif. Appearing onstage in front of the thousands of Disney fans gathered for the D23 presentation, Deadpool said he’s pitched these concepts to D’Amaro before.

“I don’t mean to sound like a broken yeti,” Deadpool said, alluding to the long-malfunctioning yeti animatronic on Expedition Everest at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. What followed was a mini-D23 parks panel, Deadpool style.

Deadpool’s D23 ideas

Presenting a slide show with hand-drawn sketches onto the D23 screen, Deadpool first shared his idea for Chimichanga Chaser, a dueling coaster attraction “where you are the beef.” His accompanying illustration advertises Chimichanga Chaser as “the world’s first F-Ticket attraction,” referencing the retired system of A-E Tickets that granted admission to individual attractions in the early decades of Disney parks. Deadpool drew an assortment of guacamole and barf unceremoniously on the ground below his coaster.

“This next one is gonna be a bigger hit than a Spider-Man animatronic against a wall,” Deadpool teased, alluding to what sometimes happens when Spidey doesn’t quite stick the landing in Avengers Campus.

When riding the proposed Deadpool’s Heck House, guests would enter the Hall of Baby Arms. Look closely and you’ll see a tombstone reading “Rocket Rods 1998-2001,” a tribute to the short-lived replacement of the PeopleMover at Disneyland.

Not neglecting runDisney events, Deadpool shared at D23 that he wants to organize Logan’s Run, named after his Wolverine pal. In Deadpool’s sketch, bystanders hold signs reading, “You’re a disappointment to Australia” (the home of Wovlerine actor Hugh Jackman) and “the worst showman” (dissing Jackman’s starring role in “The Greatest Showman”).

Among all the fanfare, Deadpool managed to sing a few bars of “Veggie Veggie Fruit Fruit” from “Kitchen Kabaret,” a defunct Epcot attraction.

Commenting on the real announcements revealed elsewhere during the evening, Deadpool told D’Amaro, “You’re killing it up here! Seriously, you are on fire … like you dragon was, twice.”

(For the uninitiated, two different Maleficent dragons caught fire in years past during live performances in front of guests in both Florida and California.)

With a Mickey-esque flourish of his arms, a burst of pyrotechnics, and the “Fantasmic!” theme music, Deadpool bid the crowd farewell. Watch his full pitch:
