Discovery Cove's five-hour animal experience with dolphins, otters

Discovery Cove now offers the Ultimate Animal Experience, a five-hour program featuring private sessions with dolphins, otters, and more.

The program officially launched May 7, 2024 at Discovery Cove, the boutique sister park next door to Sea World Orlando in Florida.

“A Dream Come True for Animal Lovers”

The Ultimate Animal Experience includes a private snorkel session before the park opens, a private photo session with dolphins, a private enrichment session with otters (an exclusive not offered in any other Discovery Cove program), a guided tour of the aviary, and a behind-the-scenes tour of Discovery Cove’s animal care facilities.

“A day at Discovery Cove is already a dream come true for animal lovers,” said Buck Lyman, VP of zoological at Discovery Cove, “but this new Ultimate Animal Experience takes it to a whole new level with even more one-on-one interactions and time spent with our zoological team learning about the animals, their care and well-being, and more.”

Guests must be at least six years old to participate.

Ultimate Animal Experience Price

Discovery Cove’s Ultimate Animal Experience starts at $249 per person. Glancing at the park calendar, dates for the program throughout this summer command prices up to $399.

Notably, the Ultimate Animal Experience is an add-on and does not include park admission. Discovery Cove requires that all participants of the Ultimate Animal Experience separately purchase a Discovery Cove Dolphin Swim admission package, which includes park admission and a dolphin swimming session.

The dolphin packages start at $219. Doing the math, this means the true price to visit Discovery Cover and take part in the Ultimate Animal Experience is a minimum of $468.
