Disney chefs bake holiday magic with Disney gingerbread displays
This holiday season, Disney magic has combined with the wonderment of the season into gingerbread displays at select Disney theme parks, resort hotels, and the ships of the Disney Cruise Line.

In the spirit of the holidays, Disney chefs have decked the halls, roofs, doorways, and windows to create life-sized gingerbread houses that look good enough to eat!
Guests can find these gingerbread houses, carousels, and other confections baked by Disney chefs in these locations:
Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa
This year marks the 20th anniversary of this resort’s grand gingerbread house. A recipe from Austria inspires the ornaments, cookies, and the house, which stands 14-feet-tall in the lobby.
Home to The Bake Shop, this gingerbread house is a great place to pick up holiday treats. Guests can observe gingerbread house decorating demonstrations daily from Dec. 1-25.
Disney’s Contemporary Resort
Cinderella Castle is brought to life at Disney’s Contemporary Resort with an “it’s a small world” twist. This 18-foot display is created from thousands of gingerbread blocks, and a life-sized spinning carousel highlights the display.
Disney’s Beach Club Resort
Donald Duck- and Daisy Duck-themed horses are decorated with chocolate, sugar, and fondant in this classic gingerbread carousel at Disney’s Beach Club Resort.
Disney’s BoardWalk Resort
The gingerbread version of the resort’s BoardWalk features iconic locations like the BoardWalk Bakery, Flying Fish, Trattoria al Forno, and more.
The American Adventure
Patriotism meets pastry-otism at Epcot, with gingerbread versions of the U.S. Capitol building, the Lincoln Memorial, and the Washington Monument on display at The American Adventure pavilion.
Amorette’s Patisserie
The Disney Springs pastry shop has dressed up its front window with a miniature gingerbread replica of itself.
Disneyland’s Haunted Mansion Holiday
Disneyland’s Haunted Mansion Holiday features a brand-new, spooky gingerbread display each year. This year’s creation features a giant spider with glowing eyes as it hangs over the Grand Hall Table, attempting to pry the gingerbread mansion from its foundation – all as gingerbread zombies watch on.
Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa
Disney artists, engineers, and bakers have teamed up on a gingerbread house for this resort’s lobby. Using over 600 pounds of gingerbread and decorated with Hidden Mickeys, this Grand Californian-esque gingerbread house is on display all season long.
Disney Cruise Line
Aboard the four Disney Cruise Line ships, bakery teams have been challenged to create their own individual gingerbread houses to display throughout the holiday season in the atrium of each ship.
Each gingerbread house features over 600 pounds of gingerbread dough, 200-plus pounds of sugar, and 5,000 gingerbread bricks.
Aulani – A Disney Resort & Spa
Aulani has gotten its own gingerbread display with “A Kakamora Holiday.” This display features a chocolate tree, a Moana-inspired gingerbread hut, a chocolate sleigh, and mischievous Kakamoras celebrating the season with a tropical twist.
