Guests will soon be able to virtually go behind-the-scenes and explore the business behind the magic of Walt Disney World, thanks to a new online course from Disney Institute.
In “50 Years of Magical Learnings from Walt Disney World Resort,” participants can navigate an interactive map, where hovering over various locations will reveal lessons, stories, videos, activities, and more about the history of the Most Magical Place on Earth.
The self-paced course showcases five decades of history surrounding Walt Disney World, and participants will get to hear from opening-day and current cast members, Disney executives, Imagineers, and operations leaders to learn more about how they continue to bring Walt Disney’s vision to life as they craft their own personal legacies and visions for the future. Other highlights include a peek at backstage areas like Disney University, the process of aligning cast members toward a common goal of guest service, and the methods behind the magic.
You can check out a sneak peek of the course in the video blow from Tom Thomson, content manager for Disney Institute:
Registration is now open for the course, and the first 20 lessons will debut on Oct. 1; more content will be added over the next few months, with a total of 50 lessons planned. Participants can go at their own pace and start or stop the content at their convenience.
