Disney Jr.’s Ariel to appear at California Adventure for one day only
Ariel the eight-year-old mermaid from “Disney Jr.’s Ariel” will make her Disney theme park debut for one day only.
Ariel to debut at California Adventure
Ariel from the new animated series “Disney Jr.’s Ariel” will appear at Disney California Adventure in Anaheim for one day only, Aug. 8, 2024. Guests can see the eight-year-old mermaid during a cavalcade at 10:30 a.m. along the parade route with other Disney Jr. characters.
Additionally, over in Hollywood Land, guests can participate in an “Ariel”-themed arts and crafts area.
The festivities are part of a one-day event called Disney Jr. Let’s Play! Party, itself part of the larger D23 Day throughout Disneyland Resort. Timed to tee up the sold-out D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event — which takes place Aug. 9-11 at the Anaheim Convention Center and the Honda Center — other D23 Day celebrations will include character greetings with Lotso from “Toy Story 3” at California Adventure’s Pixar Pier, a cavalcade with Disney Legends at Disneyland Park, and commemorative mouse ears.
At the convention itself, D23 attendees can meet two other Disney Jr. stars, Bluey and Bingo, at the Disney+ Pavilion all three days of the event. (Reservations are required to meet Bluey and Bingo at D23; attendees should consult their email communication from Disney about reserving spots for this and other D23 experiences.) Bluey and Bingo have yet to appear in Disney theme parks.
‘Disney Jr.’s Ariel’
The new animated musical series “Ariel” debuted earlier this summer on Disney Jr. and Disney+. The preschool-focused show stars Mykal-Michelle Harris as Ariel, Taye Diggs as King Triton, Amber Riley as Ursula, Elizabeth Phoenix Caro as Lucia, Cruz Flateau as Fernie, Gracen Newton as Flounder, and Kevin Michael Richardson as Sebastian.

Meanwhile, in Florida
While Disney has not announced any plans for eight-year-old Ariel to appear in Florida (or beyond Aug. 8 in California), guests at Disney Springs at Walt Disney World can pose for a photo-op focused on the series near Earl of Sandwich.
Banners promoting “Disney Jr.’s Ariel” are on display on Disney Springs lamp posts.
