‘Disney KiteTails’ takes to the skies Oct. 1 at Disney’s Animal Kingdom
Starting Oct. 1, as part of Walt Disney World Resort’s 50th anniversary celebration, “Disney KiteTails” will bring the magic of nature and Disney storytelling to new heights at Disney’s Animal Kingdom.

The show will be offered several times daily at the Discovery River Theater, near DinoLand U.S.A. Set to original, worldbeat arrangements of Disney songs, performers will bring with them a colorful array of oversized props and kites featuring animal friends from “The Little Mermaid,” “A Bug’s Life,” and “Finding Nemo.”
As the show builds, watercraft will zoom into the lagoon, pulling along kite trails and three-dimensional kites depicting characters from “The Lion King” and “The Jungle Book.” These kites, some as large as 30 feet in length, are inflated by moving through the air.
Stay tuned for more updates on Disney KiteTails as we await the debut of this high-flying new show!
