Disney and Pixar’s new animated fantasy-comedy takes on the theme of teenage angst through 13-year-old Mei Lee’s conflict between remaining a dutiful daughter and finding her own path.

Mei’s mother is overbearing, her interests, relationships, and body are all changing, and, to make matters worse, every time she gets overly excited (which happens a LOT) she “poofs” into a giant red panda. Talk about awkward!

In advance of the panda-monium that’s about to hit viewer’s television screens, six locations at Disney’s U.S. properties have their own panda-rific nods to the film.

The “Walt Disney Presents” attraction at Disney’s Hollywood Studios’ will offer a sneak peek at scenes from the movie, delighting audiences with pre-release, never-before-seen clips.

Epcot has four ways to celebrate the big red panda, all of them food-related.

With Mei Lee’s Canadian-Chinese heritage in mind, the Canada Popcorn Cart will offer Pand-Ade, a refreshing coconut-pomegranate lemonade with pomegranate boba pearls.

Le Cellier Steakhouse in the Canada pavilion serves up three culinary offerings of Beef Stir Fry Poutine (fresh-cut fries, Canadian cheddar cheese, stir-fry beef, and gravy with Asian flavors); Shrimp & Pork Dumplings (pickled cucumber, sesame-soy drizzle, and crispy noodles); and Turning Red Cake (citrus and vanilla chiffon cake with raspberry coulis and fresh strawberries).

Epcot’s special food and beverage items are available from now until May 31.

Disney Springs’ bakery, Amorette’s Patisserie, has created the adorable Turning Red Mini Dome Cake (layers of chocolate brownie, coconut, nuts, vanilla custard, and semi-sweet chocolate), based on Canada’s classic dessert, the Nanaimo Bar. Sales will take place from March 11-March 31, with limited cakes available each day.
