The show — the official name of which is “Disney Dreams That Soar presented by AT&T” — will perform May 24 – Sept. 2, 2024 at Walt Disney World Resort’s shopping and dining district near Orlando, Fla. The production spotlights characters and moments from Disney stories inspired by flight.

800 Drones at Disney Springs

The nine-minute production will feature 800 drones. For those keeping score, that’s 200 more than the 600 drones in “CineSational: A Symphonic Spectacular,” the combo drones/fireworks spectacle that will debut down the road at Universal Studios Florida on June 14, 2024.

For reference, Disney World’s only previous drone show — “Starbright Holidays,” which held a brief residency at Disney Springs for less than two months in 2016 and never returned — had 300 drones, according to the Orlando Sentinel. “Disney Electrical Sky Parade,” which debuted earlier this year in France, has 500 drones, according to Disneyland Paris.

“The amount of drones really allowed us to make figures bigger than life, bigger than anything I’ve ever seen,” said Tony Giordano, show director at Disney Live Entertainment. “The fact that we can have a Baymax figure and a Death Star that’s bigger than the castle [and] bigger than Spaceship Earth is incredible. Really you have to come out and see this in person. It’s going to change how you can imagine what a drone show could be.”

Disney Dreams That Soar Sneak Peak with Imagineer Commentary

Let’s go right where you want to be,
where the magic feels like family
and you can wish upon a star
and never look back.

Let’s go to the place where dreams come true.
You can be you and the hero too.
This is the moment we’ve all been waiting for.
Just imagine where you’ll go with dreams that soar!

Use the thunder in your heart
to prepare you for the dark
because the path you take
ends far from where you start.

When it’s time to spread your wings,
you’ll see that everything’s in reach.

You can change the world if you just believe.

If you’re feeling small, you can fly away.
A new adventure’s coming your way
and tomorrow’s always brighter than yesterday.

Let’s go to the place where dreams come true.
You can be you and the hero too.
This is the moment we’ve all been waiting for.
Just imagine where you’ll go with dreams that soar!
