List of 59 Disney Villains starring in new show at Hollywood Studios

Disney Villains will take center stage in a new show called “Unfairly Ever After” at Hollywood Studios in 2025 — starring 59 baddies.

“Disney Villains: Unfairly Ever After” is a new live show debuting in summer 2025 at Disney’s Hollywood Studios near Orlando, Fla. As construction gets underway down the street for Villains Land at Magic Kingdom, Disney World guests can visit Sunset Showcase — the indoor venue next to Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster, and previously home to Lightning McQueen’s Racing Academy — to see nearly five dozen bad guys in a new show.

The list of characters in “Disney Villains: Unfairly Ever After” includes the deepest of deep cuts not only part of the mix, but prominent. Front and center in the artwork is Long John Silver from “Treasure Planet.” Other obscurities among the bunch include Percival C. McLeach from “The Rescuers Down Under” and Helga Sinclair from “Atlantis: The Lost Empire,” among many others.

The movie with the most villains represented is “The Lion King,” with four: Scar and all three hyenas, Shenzi, Bonzai, and Ed.

Notably, all of the villains in the show except one of them are from productions created by Walt Disney Animation Studios. The outlier is Dr. Jacques von Hämsterviel, who hails from “Lilo & Stitch” spin-offs created by Disney Television Animation. There are no villains in the show from movies developed by Pixar Animation Studios, Marvel Studios, or Lucasfilm.

Though it seems nitpicky to point out omissions in a cast this extensive, noticeably absent (at least in the artwork) is the Evil Queen from “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs,” even though her Magic Mirror is the star of the show. Other reputable baddies seemingly not invited include Stromboli from “Pinocchio,” evil stepsisters Anastasia and Drizella from “Cinderella,” the Cheshire Cat from “Alice in Wonderland,” and Shan-Yu from “Mulan.”

The storyline

Disney also revealed the storyline for “Disney Villains: Unfairly Ever After” on Jan. 18, 2025.

If you asked them, our villains would probably try to convince you that they’ve been treated pretty unfairly over the years. In this show, the Magic Mirror has summoned us to hear them out. Never ones to let a dramatic performance pass them by, fiendish foes Cruella de Vil, Captain Hook, and Maleficent will break through the glass and take the stage to prove once and for all why they are the most misunderstood. In the end, it will be on you to make the final call in a delightfully wicked finale filled with dozens of the most infamous evildoers awaiting your decision from within the Mirror’s realm.

Joey McElroy, communications manager at Disney Experiences

This narrative somewhat echoes “Golden Screams,” a Halloween-season replacement of the now-defunct Golden Dreams attraction at Disney California Adventure. “Golden Screams” involved live appearances by Disney Villains and the audience voting for their favorite.

“Disney Villains: Unfairly Ever After” will premiere in summer 2025 (exact opening date TBA) at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
