Disney World releases update on attractions and entertainment for phased reopening
Walt Disney World has shared an update on the attractions and entertainment offerings that will be available for guests once its theme parks begin their phased reopening.
Many attractions will still be available to ride at each park, including:
- Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway and Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance at Disney’s Hollywood Studios
- Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, Space Mountain, and Pirates of the Caribbean at Magic Kingdom
- Soarin’ Around the World, Frozen Ever After, and Test Track at Epcot
- Kilimanjaro Safaris, Expedition Everest, and Avatar Flight of Passage at Disney’s Animal Kingdom
Disney also shared that Spaceship Earth at Epcot will still be available in its current state as its planned refurbishment is paused.
As for your favorite Disney characters, they will appear in new ways at the parks while accommodating for physical distancing—which has already been demonstrated at Disney Springs with the First Order Stormtroopers.
These new ways will include:
- Special cavalcades down the Magic Kingdom parade route
- Friends sailing the waterways of Disney’s Animal Kingdom
- Processions along the World Showcase promenade at Epcot
- Motorcades on Disney’s Hollywood Studios’ Hollywood Boulevard
According to Disney, you never know when these special appearances could happen!
In addition, several musical groups will also return to the parks, including the Main Street Philharmonic at Magic Kingdom, Mariachi Cobre and the JAMMitors at Epcot.
