Disneyland After Dark event lineup announced for 2020

Disneyland After Dark, the themed after-hours park event at the Disneyland Resort, is coming back in 2020 with a lineup of four events to enjoy.

These events will be separately-ticketed, and will offer guests access to either Disneyland park or Disney California Adventure after the park has closed to day guests. Select rides and attractions will also stay open for the event. As a bonus, guests will receive unlimited digital downloads of their PhotoPass photos from the night.

The 2020 lineup of Disneyland After Dark events includes:

80s Nite – Jan. 29, Disneyland park

Put on your favorite leg warmers and tease your hair up high for this throwback fest. Highlights of this party include:

  • “Flashback to Videopolis” takeover of the Fantasyland Theatre, complete with a live DJ, music videos, and dancers
  • “Awesome After Dark – Fireworks To The Max!” fireworks show, musical entertainment, and more
  • “Throwback”-style encounters with Disney friends of the past
  • Immersive photo-ops
  • Decade-inspired food, drinks, decorations, and merchandise
  • Access to Disneyland park starting at 6 p.m.

Sweethearts’ Nite – Feb. 12-13, Disneyland park

The Happiest Place on Earth will become the most romantic place on earth with an extra bit of magic. Enjoy this date night in style with:

  • Love song-themed dance parties throughout the park, as well as a royal ball
  • Meet-and-greets with Disney couples, including Cinderella and Prince Charming, Aladdin and Jasmine, and Mickey and Minnie Mouse
  • Romantic photo-ops featuring sweet scenes from Disney films
  • Love-themed food, drinks, decorations, and merchandise offerings
  • Access to Disneyland park starting at 6 p.m.

Pixar Nite – March 5, Disney California Adventure

Celebrate your favorite Pixar stories decked out in your favorite Pixar Disneybounds with this party night, which includes:

  • Interactive dance parties themed to Pixar stories, including “The Incredibles” and “Monsters, Inc.”
  • Meet-and-greets with Pixar pals, including Russell and Carl from “UP” and Joy and Sadness from “Inside Out”
  • Playful and fun photo-ops
  • Pixar-themed decor, food, drinks, and merchandise
  • Access to Disney California Adventure starting at 5 p.m.

Villains Nite – April 30, Disney California Adventure

Show off your wicked side with this sinister soiree featuring all your favorite Disney villains. Party highlights include:

  • Villains Cabaret with a cast of misfits singing and dancing their way through an evil revue
  • DJ-hosted dance parties and sing-alongs throughout the park
  • Meet-and-greets with some of Disney’s villains and henchmen
  • Photo-ops themed to popular villain lairs and thrones
  • Villainous decorations, food, drinks, and merchandise
  • Access to Disney California Adventure starting at 6 p.m.

Tickets to each event will be $109 per person. A limited amount of tickets to each event will be available starting next week – Dec. 3 for Disneyland Annual Passholders and Dec. 4 for the general public.

    Do lots of people dress up for the Pixar nights? Is it as common to dress up as it is for the Halloween parties?
