Disney’s new Muppets coaster nears opening – our fresh photos ahead of launch
Disney’s upcoming Muppets-themed coaster is entering its final stages ahead of its official opening later this month, and our new photos offer a closer look at the attraction as crews wrap up work around the ride.

The latest images from our team show updated exterior theming, queue details, and coaster elements coming together as Disney prepares to debut the reimagined attraction. The project replaces the former Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster starring Aerosmith and introduces a new storyline centered around the chaotic energy of the Muppets.

Inside Disney’s Hollywood Studios, progress is made throughout the attraction’s entrance and surrounding areas. Updated signage and refreshed design elements tied to the Muppets are now visible as the coaster moves closer to opening day.

The attraction blends the high-speed indoor coaster experience fans already know with new music, comedic moments, and visual gags featuring Kermit, Miss Piggy, Animal, Dr. Teeth and the Electric Mayhem, and other familiar characters. Several of the newly visible details reinforce the backstage concert-tour style Disney has teased for the updated experience.
The gold key spotted in the new poster art connects with the gold piano key at the base of the guitar, a tribute to Dr. Teeth, the band leader of The Electric Mayhem. Muppets fans are looking for callbacks to ‘Muppet*Vision 3D‘ and may be pleased to see the painted directional mural for ‘Around the Shop’ on the side of the building. It is reminiscent of the painted walls at the Muppets Courtyard.
