Dollywood’s HeartSong Lodge & Resort is officially open for visitors, and the first guests were welcomed by none other than Dolly Parton herself.

The 302-room mountain lodge in Pigeon Forge, Tenn. is the second resort hotel in Dollywood joining the original DreamMore Resort and Spa.

Fittingly, HeartSong Lodge & Resort is inspired by the grand lodges of our National Parks, and the entrance to Great Smoky Mountains National Park is just a skipping stone’s throw down the road.

“Dollywood’s HeartSong Lodge & Resort takes me back to when I was a little girl exploring my beautiful Smoky Mountains,” Dolly Parton said. “I have so many fond memories of the days when us kids spent hours playing in the creek and chasing fireflies after supper. I hope families who come to my HeartSong Lodge discover what makes these mountains so special to me, while creating their own precious memories.”

HeartSong Lodge’s rooms are created with families in mind, with special suites that include bunk beds and private TVs just for the kids. Larger families and multi-generational groups can make use of larger suites. Each guest room features a beautiful Smoky Mountain mural showcasing local wildlife such as black bears, butterflies, and fireflies. Rooms are also each equipped with a mini-fridge, safe, and customizable nature sound machine. Those able to splurge should check out the HeartSong Suite and its apartment-style guest room with majestic views of the lodge’s Cove area and the surrounding Smokies.

HeartSong Lodge’s Cove is an outdoor area with fire pits and an expansive zero-depth entry pool with cascading waterfall, splash pad, hot tub, and dining (in season). As the sun goes down, families can gather around the outdoor fire pit for complimentary marshmallow roasting and campfire sing-alongs.

The lodge also offers a variety of on-site activities through Camp DW, which encourages families to play together. Guests can choose from arts and crafts, storytelling and summertime pool parties. Each morning, families can enjoy Imagination Library Story Hour as Camp DW hosts read books from Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library.

Inspired by Dolly Parton herself, Acoustic Lobby is a private dining room filled with memorabilia from the entertainment icon. The room’s centerpiece is a glittering chandelier made from acoustic guitars. Acoustic Lobby offers its own food and signature cocktail menus for private events.

As with Dollywood’s original hotel, DreamMore Resort & Spa, all resort guests get exclusive park privileges throughout their stay. These include complimentary transportation to and from Dollywood theme park and Dollywood’s Splash Country; complimentary Dollywood TimeSaver Passes to shorten ride wait times with a Dollywood ticket; early entry on Saturday mornings to a select ride or experience at the parks; and resort in-room delivery of purchases from the parks delivered directly to guest rooms free of charge.
