This past week, news broke that Disney’s “DuckTales” animated reboot would not return for season 4, sparking questions in the theme park community over the previously-announced DuckTales World Showcase Adventure game planned for Epcot.
Fans of Scrooge McDuck, Donald Duck, Launchpad McQuack, Webby, and the nephews won’t have to worry, though – the Play Disney Parks-based experience is still coming to the park eventually.
A Disney spokesperson confirmed that while the timing of the interactive scavenger hunt has shifted, DuckTales World Showcase Adventure is still planned for some point in the future despite the show coming to an end.
This is somewhat of a silver lining compared to that of the animated show’s cancelation, which was met with great disappointment on social media, and even inspired a Change.org petition to get the show renewed.
