Epcot’s multi-year transformation is finally complete
CommuniCore Hall, Mickey & Friends, and CommuniCore Plaza, opened this week on June 10, 2024, completing the Epcot transformation that began about seven years ago.

Walt Disney once said that Disney would never be complete, “It will continue to grow as long as there is imagination left in the world.” Disney continues to prove regularly they still have a lot of imagination left. Over the last few years we’ve seen a renovated gift shop, a much improved Starbucks location, a statue honoring Walt himself, a ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ inside coaster called Cosmic Rewind, and more.

Inside CommuniCore Hall guests can experience seasonal celebrations as well as meet Mickey and some of his closest friends. There are also places to relax or eat, away from the Florida weather.

CommuniCore Plaza

CommuniCore Plaza allows guests to relax outside and enjoy live entertainment while taking in the views. During the day, the views include not only Spaceship Earth, but guests can also stroll through the gardens. At night the area is lit up with beautiful colors.

For a limited time guests can enjoy ”¡Celebración Encanto!” This will perform in CommuniCore Plaza now through Sept. 6, 2024. This is a sing-along adventure with Mirabel and Bruno that will occur several times a day.

Check out the attractions that were closed for this transformation.
While these walls have come down but others will be going up as a fan favorite will be closing this week. Test Track will be getting a major refurbishment, as the innovation and imagination never ends.
