Experience the Force in a new way with Star Wars Audio AR

When most people think about augmented reality (AR), they think of holding up their phones and seeing digital images appear in the real world. Now, AR is transforming in new ways with audio immersion — and Star Wars.

Bose and Trigger have teamed up with Lucasfilm, Skywalker Sound and Disney to create the Star Wars Audio AR experience, offering fans a deeply immersive experience.

All listeners have to do is put on their headphones and rotate their head as they experience iconic scenes from the beloved franchise as if they were placed right in the films themselves. Highlights of the experience include:

• Exploring the area where characters engaged in battle, or tap a character to switch to their point-of-view
• The AR spans across all eras of the Skywalker Saga, covering the journey of Anakin and Luke Skywalker’s lightsaber, leading up to the sequel trilogy where it is now in Rey’s possession
• The final scene in the experience is based on the Millennium Falcon training experience from “A New Hope,” which features new and original sounds created specifically for the experience by Skywalker Sound

Keep in mind that you will need Bluetooth-enabled Bose headphones with AR compatibility in order to use this app feature.
