First part of the new Fantasyland opening set for March, closing date announced for Snow White’s ride

It was announced today that the first part of the new Fantasyland will open in late March. The first phase openings will all be a part of the Storybook Circus area.

In the Storybook Circus, Dumbo the Flying Elephant spin guests on one of two carousels. The other spinning Dumbo carousel will open at a later date. Barnstormer featuring the Great Goofini will be brighter than ever with a new paint job and new theming elements. Also opening in March will be the Fantasyland train station of the Walt Disney Railroad.

Beyond the Storybook Circus, Snow White’s Scary Adventures will be permanently closing June 1, 2012 to make way for Princess Fairytale Hall. The new hall will welcome guests inside to meet Aurora, Cinderella and other Disney princesses in an elegant royal court. May 31 will be the last day guests can ride Snow White’s Scary Adventures.

The next phase of openings will take place in Fall 2012 and all of the Fantasyland expansion is set to be completed in 2014.

  1. The new Fantasyland sounds wonderful. We are coming on June 25, 2012. What Town Hall be recieving guests for the meet Princesses until the New Fairytale Hall will be open?
    I sure hope so. Princesses are what my 8 year old daughter is all about.
