First video footage of Lego Factory Adventure dark ride
Lego Factory Adventure will be an innovative dark ride that transforms riders into Lego minifigure versions of themselves. The attraction will debute at Legoland New York when the theme park opens in 2021.
Making its international debut at Legoland New York, Lego Factory Adventure is led by the whimsical and eccentric Professor Brick and celebrates the Lego Brick. Shrinking guests down to Minifigure size, the ride offers a “brick’s eye view” of the creation process of a Lego Brick. As families ride through the Lego Factory, on-ride tracking technology detects guests attributes and position to turn them into Lego Minifigures at the culmination of the journey.
Merlin Entertainments, the parent company of Lego, partnered with technology company Holovis to create Lego Factory Adventure. Lately, Holovis has generated attention with its free Crowd Solo app that helps people maintain physical distancing in crowded environments.
Legoland New York was originally scheduled to open on July 4, 2020, but was delayed to 2021 due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. It will be the first major theme park to open in the northeastern U.S. in over 40 years, and is located a little over an hour north of New York City in the Hudson Valley town of Goshen, N.Y.
I live in Las Vegas area and this Lego Ride is exactly the sort of cute family-friendly entertainment we need (Adventuredome needs to turn into either an indoor Legoland OR an indoor Nickelodeon theme park – new owner of Circus Circus has plenty of free space to expand Adventuredome).
