Pinkberry, the tart frozen yogurt brand made famous by celebrities in California, has opened its first store in Florida, just down the street from International Drive in The Marketplace at Dr. Phillips.
A “Pinkberry Preview Party” was held last night and hundreds waited around an hour for a free cup of frozen yogurt with toppings and a spin on the prize wheel. The first 100 fans in line for the grand opening today received Pinkberry T-shirts.
After hosting several events in the community where Pinkberry samples were served and donations collected for Give Kids The World, Pinkberry will be donating a portion of all opening weekend sales to assist the charity’s efforts in providing critically ill children and their families with a carefree Orlando vacation.
Pinkberry premium frozen yogurt is made with real nonfat yogurt and nonfat milk that is rBST hormone free. The Orlando location will be serving Pinkberry’s six distinctive flavors. The flavors include their original flavor, a sweet and tangy yogurt; Pomegranate, a bold and tangy flavor made with 100% California-grown pure pomegranate juice; coconut, smooth and subtle, made with real coconut puree; a rich, indulgent chocolate; and Mango, a fruity and light flavor made with authentic Alphonso mango puree.
Customers can personalize every yogurt with any combination of toppings. Toppings include fresh fruit that is hand-cut daily in-store, organic gummy bears with no high fructose corn-syrup, all natural honey almond granola or Belgian chocolate shavings. In addition to frozen yogurt and toppings, Pinkberry also offers fruit parfaits and smoothies.
Pinkberry in The Marketplace at Dr. Phillips (7600 Dr. Phillips Blvd.) is on the corner of Dr. Phillips Boulevard and Sand Lake Road. It’s about a 15-20 minute drive from Downtown Disney or Universal Orlando. More information can be found at pinkberry.com.
