Water from Epcot’s Fountain of Nations to be reused
To make way for the new additions coming to Epcot that were announced at D23 Expo 2019, guests had to say farewell to many locations throughout Future World, including the Fountain of Nations.
However, that’s not the end of the story for the water that once resided there.
On Oct. 1, 1982, Epcot’s opening day, delegations from countries all over the world took part in the Ceremony of International Waters, where water from their home countries was poured into the Fountain of Nations from special containers.
Later on in the transformation of Epcot, water from the Fountain of Nations will be recycled and re-introduced into one of the new water features in the park to commemorate the past and honor the future.
