Gaylord Hotels Christmas programs have a brand-new headliner attraction that takes guests into the world of Buddy the Elf from the hit holiday movie, “Elf.”
Among the most highly-anticipated annual holiday events are those at Gaylord Hotels in Florida, Tennessee, Texas, Colorado, and Maryland, and this year guests can experience a new multi-sensory challenge, helping Buddy the Elf save Christmas.
“Mission: Save Christmas featuring Elf” invites guests of all ages to join Buddy as he answers the call from Santa to generate enough Christmas cheer to power the Kringle 3000 sleigh through a series of interactive challenges.
Make your way through the candy cane forest with Mr. Narwhal and his friends, pitch in to help the elves keep up with their toy quota, and take part in an epic virtual snowball fight in New York’s iconic Central Park. Participants can even help Macy’s department store prepare for Santa’s arrival.
These are just a few of the challenges featured in Mission: Save Christmas, which will be part of the holiday lineup at Gaylord Palms, Gaylord Opryland, Gaylord Texan, and Gaylord Rockies. Tickets are on sale now.
Gaylord National in Maryland has its own special marquee attraction, with the multi-sensory “I Love Christmas Movies,” pop-up exhibition, formerly at Gaylord Palms, in collaboration with Warner Bros. Themed Entertainment.
Visitors will enjoy scenes from popular holiday movies, including “The Polar Express,” “A Christmas Story,” “National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation,” and “The Year Without A Santa Claus.”
More than a dozen scenes are on display, along with replicas of film props, audio clips, and more, making those who participate feel as if they’re part of the original story.
Each Gaylord hotel will also feature millions of twinkling lights, giant Christmas trees, and superb live entertainment, plus interactive dining experiences, as follows:
Gaylord Palms – Bundle up for the icy mechanized Snow Factory snow play place, where guests can toss snowballs and slide down icy conveyer belts; thrill to the high-flying stunts and dazzling acrobatics of Cirque: Spirit of Christmas and be moved by the musical stage show The Greatest Story Ever Told; and dine with the grouchy green guy at Feast with the Grinch character breakfast;
Gaylord Opryland – Pinetop Stage, an outdoor Appalachian-esque village sets an idyllic holiday scene; watch The Oakridge Boys Christmas in Tennessee Dinner Show; and fuel up for the day at Rudolph’s Holly Jolly Breakfast.
