Goblins & Giggles Getaway Weekends return to Gaylord Palms for spooky family fun
Halloween hijinks will take over Gaylord Palms this Halloween season with the return of their Goblins & Giggles Getaway Weekends.
Guests of all ages can bring their costumes and swimsuits for a frightfully fun time, both inside the resort’s atrium, and outside at Cypress Springs Water Park.
Spookley the Square Pumpkin, a little gourd who wants to spread the message of anti-bullying, is also back this year. He’s the star of the Halloween Hide & Seek scavenger hunt, and guests will need to search high and low as they solve puzzles to find all the hidden Spookleys!
Storytime with Morgana will gather younger guests to hear the stories of Spookley from his best-selling children’s book with a message of kindness and tolerance. New for this year, Grimm the Goblin will join Morgana to meet guests after the story.
The guest-favorite Monster Mash Bash and Costume Contest will also return this year, inviting guests of all ages to dance the night away with Gaylord Palms’ resident spooks, Vladimir the vampire and Morgana. Grimm the Goblin will join them and teach guests dance moves and songs before inviting everyone to take part in a costume contest with prizes.
The fun continues for overnight guests with the Wicked Awesome Pool Party at Cypress Springs Water Park. Vladimir will entertain guests poolside with games and interactive activities. The resort’s FlowRider – The Wake Zone will be featured in the Wicked Waves Surf Show, a showcase of Gaylord Palms’ flowboarders’ best tricks on the waves.
Guests can test their bravery in the Swamp Witch Revenge Escape Room, where they can become part of a real Florida ghost story. The tale of Bessie Budd-Graham, the swamp witch of Tallahassee, will come to life as guests work together to escape her curse.
Spooky Animal Encounters will bring creatures inside the resort for meet-and-greets. On Saturdays, animal experts will bring along snakes, vultures, and other creepy critters to meet guests as they share some of the myths about these animals.
Gaylord Palms’ Trick or Treat Expedition will take guests through the winding paths of the 4.5-acre glass-enclosed atrium as they search for sweets every Saturday.
Goblins & Giggles Getaway Weekends are offered Friday – Sunday from Sept. 14 – Oct. 28. Additional charges will apply for certain activities.
