Gaylord Palms’ Halloween fun returns with Goblins & Giggles Weekends, Sept. 27 – Oct. 26, 2024, in Kissimmee, Fla.
Halloween 2024 at Gaylord Palms
Guests can enjoy the family-friendly spooky season fun at Gaylord Palms Resort & Convention Center this Halloween during Goblins & Giggles Weekends celebration, which runs Sept. 27 – Oct. 26, 2024. This event features live shows, character meet & greets, a dance party, Halloween décor, an escape room, costume contests and, of course, plenty of candy.
The event will even have a drone show presented four times during the celebration. It will consist of hundreds of choreographed Halloween-themed drones above the Gaylord Palms.
Many Halloween festivities will be included at Goblins & Giggles Weekends at Gaylord Palms. However, some of the activities will only be available to overnight guests. Parking fees may be charged when you attend this event. For information regarding staying at the resort, please consult the Gaylord Palms website. Below is a list of the published activities for this year’s event.
Gaylord Palms Halloween dance party
Morgana the Witch, Vlad the Vampire, and Grimm the Good-Hearted Goblin host the Monster Mash Bash Dance Party, which young guests are encouraged to attend in their Halloween costume. This happens inside the resort’s St. Augustine’s Castillo de San Marcos fort replica. Monster Mash Bash occurs multiple times on select Friday and Saturday nights during the Goblins and Giggles Celebration.
Halloween drone show at Gaylord Palms
This year’s event provides a Halloween drone show. The “Spooktacular Symphony in the Sky” drone show promises to showcase “spooky and seasonal” imagery, accompanied by original music. Guests can view the show on one of the resort’s outdoor event lawns. They will need to check with the front desk for the viewing area for each show. Shows are scheduled at 9 p.m. on Sept. 28 and Oct. 5, 12, & 19, 2024.
Dive-In Movie at Cypress Springs Water Park
During the event, the animated film “Spookley the Square Pumpkin” will be shown for overnight resort guests in Cypress Springs Water Park each Friday and Saturday evening.
Spookley the Square Pumpkin meet & greet
Spookley the Square Pumpkin also gets a meet & greet time. Spookley will appear each Saturday during the event at 11:30 a.m. and 12:30 & 1:30 p.m.
Jack-O’-Lantern Walk
Gaylord Palms will house an extensive Jack-O’-Lantern Walk, displaying artistic Halloween pumpkin carvings inside the resort’s 4.5-acre garden atrium.
Trick-or-Treat Expedition
Children can go on a tasty adventure collecting candy on the Trick-or-Treat Expedition in the atrium. Trick-or-treaters are encouraged to wear costumes. Trick-or-Treat Expedition is presented from 4-5 p.m. on Saturdays during Goblins & Giggles Weekends. Please bear in mind that this is an exclusive activity for Gaylord Palms’ overnight guests.
Adventure Kids: The Hunt for Hidden Treasure scavenger hunt
Guests can participate in a Halloween-themed scavenger hunt throughout the Gaylord Palms atrium. Families will work together to explore the atrium, searching for hidden gems.
‘Phantom of the Atrium’ light show
Animated LED light curtains tell the musical tale of “The Phantom of the Atrium” in this nightly show at 9 p.m. The show can be seen at numerous spots within the atrium. Also, some select atrium-view rooms at the Gaylord Palms offer a chance to see the show from their balconies.
Adventure Kids: A Spooky Celebration
A live show titled “A Spooky Celebration” takes place in the atrium on Saturdays at 12, 1, and 2 p.m. The show stars the Adventure Kids, Seth the Sea Turtle, Ava the Alligator, and real-life Florida critters.
The Pirate’s Haunted Treasure Escape Room
For guests looking for some escape room fun, Goblins & Giggle Weekend has you covered. While locked in the captain’s quarters of a spooky pirate ship, guests are challenged to find Captain Hornswaggle’s treasure in The Haunted Treasure Escape Room. The captain’s wife, Emerald, will be nearby to assist guests on this nautical adventure. Guests will solve puzzles and hopefully disembark the ship before the crew discovers their plans to steal the treasure.
The escape room is recommended for guests aged 10 and older. It happens on Friday and Saturday evenings at 4, 5, 6, and 7 p.m. during Goblins & Giggles Weekends.
