Gaylord Palms to offer ‘I Love Christmas Movies’ in place of ICE! for 2020

As the holiday season approaches, Gaylord Palms has announced a new marquee Christmas pop-up experience called “I Love Christmas Movies.”

Replacing their annual holiday offering ICE!, which is not being offered this year due to restrictions on international travel which impact the artisans who sculpt the displays, this new experience will offer a multi-sensory exhibition that allows guests to experience holiday movies they love in a new way.

Running from Nov. 13, 2020 – Jan. 3, 2021, this experience will feature key moments from Warner Bros. Pictures holiday films, including:

• “The Polar Express”
• “A Christmas Story”
• “Elf”
• “National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation”
• “The Year Without a Santa Claus”

Over 13 immersive scenes will be on display featuring replicas of film props, audio clips, and more. Guests will travel with Buddy the Elf from Santa’s North Pole workshop to New York City, take photos in front of the Griswold’s house covered in Christmas lights, and more.

A lineup of even more activities and experiences is being developed by Gaylord Palms to be offered alongside I Love Christmas Movies, and guests can still look forward to offerings like ice tubing, scavenger hunts, gingerbread decorating, elf training academy, holiday stage shows and more.

To keep guests and employees safe, Christmas offerings at Gaylord Palms are being developed in line with Marriott’s “Commitment to Clean” program with enhanced safety protocols and social distancing measures, as well as the latest local, state, and federal guidelines.

Overnight Christmas packages, including admission to I Love Movies, are available to book now. Tickets for all the events and activities for Christmas at Gaylord Palms will be on sale in early October.
