Gideon’s Bakehouse opens at The Landing in Disney Springs

Gideon’s Bakehouse opened today at Disney Springs to a three-hour virtual waitlist. This extremely popular bakery started in 2016 with just one employee in its original East End Market location in Orlando. It has now grown substantially in size, opening up its secondary shop in The Landing area of Disney Springs, next to Wine Bar George.

Many Disney fans first heard of Gideon’s cookies when they were being sold at The Polite Pig, a dining location also at Disney Springs. These daily deliveries would arrive at 4 p.m. and would usually sell out within 15 minutes. Upon hearing it was coming as a permanent part Disney Springs, fans were enthralled, which can clearly be seen by the incredible turnout it had today.

While waiting in line, guests could get a “naughty” or “nice” version of the menu. Both menus have the same offerings, but the graphic on the back showcases either Santa Claus or Krampus.

The shop’s interior is a dark, moody and mysterious.
