On Nov. 17, 2020, the cast of “Godmothered” all joined in on a Zoom call to talk about their new, exclusive movie coming to Disney+.

Starring Isla Fisher and Jillian Bell, this story follows Eleanor (Bell), an eager Godmother trainee who is desperate to help someone in need of a Prince Charming. When she finds a letter from a little girl named Mackenzie (Fisher), Eleanor rushes over to her only to find that she’s all grown up.

Joined by other members of the cast, Santiago Cabrera (Hugh), Utkarsh Ambudkar (Grant), Jane Curtin (Moira), Artemis Pebdani (Duff) and child actors Willa Skye (Mia) and Jillian Shea Spaeder (Jane), the crew talked over Zoom about all the fun they had on set.

With a combination of heart and slapstick comedy, Fisher reminisced on the improv that happened on set.

“Some of his improvs, in fact, a lot of it’s in the movie. You’d get to see his comedy, but he would, just say, it’s really funny,” smiled Fisher. “He had a buzzer he would just hit and then do an improv line and we’re in stitches.”

It seems as though everyone got along on set, including Skye and Spaeder, who played siblings.

“We love each other so much and we had lots of cuddle parties and we played with lots of slime in our free time,” Spaeder said.

The cast chemistry on set will no doubt make this funny, heartwarming film all the more magical. “Godmothered” will debut on Disney+ starting Dec. 4.
