ABC’s ‘The Goldbergs’ go on road trip to Disneyland in season 7 premiere

ABC’s “The Goldbergs” will pay tribute to a hit film from the ‘80s once again in their season seven premiere, airing this Wednesday, Sept. 25 at 8 p.m. ET.

In the upcoming episode “Vacation,” paying homage to the 1983 film “National Lampoon’s Vacation,” Beverly insists that the family take a road trip to Disneyland in Anaheim, Calif. before Erica and Barry go off to college. But, just like the film, things don’t exactly go as planned in their cross-country travels. In the meantime, Erica worries about her relationship with Geoff when he tells her “we need to talk,” and won’t tell her why until the family returns from their trip.

Anthony Michael Hall and Christie Brinkley from the original “National Lampoon’s Vacation” will guest star in the episode.

“The Goldbergs” stars Wendi McLendon-Covey as Beverly Goldberg, Patton Oswalt as adult Adam Goldberg, Sean Giambrone as Adam Goldberg, Troy Gentile as Barry Goldberg, Hayley Orrantia as Erica Goldberg, Sam Lerner as Geoff Schwartz, with George Segal as Pops Solomon and Jeff Garlin as Murray Goldberg.
