Gordon Ramsay Fish & Chips now open at Icon Park Orlando

Chef Gordon Ramsay is taking a foothold in Orlando at Icon Park. Known worldwide for his culinary genius and unique television flair, this new shop follows suit. We were invited to try out Gordon Ramsay Fish & Chips, the new quick service location, which is located mere feet from the entrance to The Wheel at Icon Park. With the most expensive item on the menu being only $21.99, this may be the least expensive opportunity you get to try Gordon Ramsay approved food.

Gordan Ramsay Fish & Chips Lobster and Shrimp Combo

Chef Gordon Ramsay’s newest restaurant, Gordon Ramsay Fish & Chips officially opens its doors today at Icon Park, the open-air entertainment destination located on International Drive in Orlando. The fast casual restaurant serves Chef Ramsay’s take on classic fish and chips, in addition to other dishes like fried shrimp, lobster, chicken, and his signature “Fishwich.” To accompany the dishes, sauces like Gordon’s Tartar, curry & mango, Sriracha aioli, southwest ranch, dijon mayonnaise and cocktail sauce are featured. The menu also includes a “Just Chips” section of fries with a combination of toppings like jalapeño, chorizo, cotija cheese, red onion, chives and parsley or truffle, parmesan cheese, chives and parsley. The restaurant also serves two shakes, Sticky Toffee Pudding, and Biscoff.

The food presented to us was made mostly with traditional British bases, but amplified with distinct and somewhat unorthodox pairings. The “Fishwhich,” pictured above, offers a duo of Crispy Cod wrapped with warm naan bread, avocado sauce, and shredded cabbage, topped with fresh tomato relish. It costs $17.99 and comes with two sauces and a drink.

Close up on fried lobster meal.

It is important to note that the author of this article doesn’t particularly like lobster. That being said, it ended up being my favorite selection. That is especially true when combined with the sauces, of which there are six – Gordon’s Tartar, curry & mango, Sriracha aioli, southwest ranch, dijon mayonnaise and cocktail sauce. The Lobster & Shrimp combo costs $21.99, but you can also add lobster to any entree for an additional $8.99.

Dirty Chips with Chorizo.

Not looking for a full-sized entree? How about a serving of “Just Chips” done dirty. This particular offering contained jalapeños, chorizo, cotija cheese, red onion, chives, and parsley. And, for $6.99, it was a hefty portion as well.

Sticky Toffee Shake at Gordan Ramsay Fish & Chips.

The only way to truly showcase the Sticky Toffee Shake was to show it moving. It is beyond creamy, and best described as a marshmallow fluff texture. It was very filling, yet not super sweet. The two shakes, Sticky Toffee Shake and the Biscoff Shake, each are $6.99.
