Grande Lakes Orlando completes water park

Guests of Grande Lakes Orlando can enjoy a new water park and other upgraded amenities.

Grande Lakes is a 500-acre resort consisting of both the JW Marriott Orlando and the Ritz-Carlton Orlando. Guests of either hotel can enjoy the amenities of the Grande Lakes property at large.

Whether travelers are adults looking to relax or families looking to play, the resort’s renovations cater to any style of vacation.

Multi-Million-Dollar Renovation

The new water park is part of a multi million-dollar re-imagining of the resort, as we reported in October when renovations were still ongoing.

New Water Park at JW Marriott

The new Grande Lakes water park is located on JW Marriott’s side of the property. The water park is separated into six zones:

  • The lazy river
  • Headwaters Slide Tower, with three slides
  • Aquaventure obstacle course
  • Oasis, a restaurant and firepit lounge
  • An area dedicated to family fun
  • A zone for those looking for relax

Guests can reserve private cabanas to upgrade their water park experience.

JW Marriott also debuted new dining options, including he new Knife Burger, a casual, poolside spot serving Texas-grown food from Chef John Tesar and the renovated EvrBar, the the lobby’s resident bar, featuring specialty cocktails.

The Ritz-Carlton, also part of Grande Lakes, introduced a few new amenities of its own, including a Solaire heated pool, complete with cabanas.

Meanwhile, the Ritz-Carlton spa offers adults the opportunity to swim in their own dedicated pool and relax in a child-free hot tub.

“The Golden Age of Florida Hotels”

Grande Lakes Orlando describes itself as “an oasis inspired by the golden age of Florida hotels.” The resort is located off of Central Florida Parkway and S John Young Parkway, close to SeaWorld. This spot happens to be at the headwaters of the Everglades, making for a picturesque landscape when strolling the grounds.

A daily $40 resort fee covers access to the property’s collection of amenities, which includes mountain bike rentals, a fitness class, and entry to the site’s water park, driving range, and tennis court. Reservations for shuttle transportation to Walt Disney World, Universal Orlando, and SeaWorld are also included.
