In the wake of the grand opening for Hagrid’s Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure at Universal’s Islands of Adventure, Universal Orlando has released a new operations update on the attraction.
UPDATE – 07/10/19: Universal Orlando has released another Operations Update for Hagrid’s Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure.
Universal will now operate the ride in the morning and attempt to accommodate as many guests as possible, and then will shut down the ride prior to park close to begin the ride’s daily maintenance.
After opening to 10-hour queues on June 13, followed by long lines nearly every day since, the resort has decided to open the ride at midday for the next couple of weeks, rather than at park open in the morning.
According to Universal, this will help give the team members at the attraction time to “take care of the ride’s daily maintenance and technical support”, which has been “challenging” for them due to the current operating schedule and guest demand.
It’s worth noting that Hagrid’s Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure did not go through public soft openings, and was only previewed by team members before hard opening to the public last week.
Universal has said on social media that guests are welcome to wait for the attraction to open in the morning, but strongly suggest that guests use this time to experience other attractions in the park.
Guests are encouraged to check in with the team members at Hagrid’s Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure for daily updates. In addition, updates will also be shared on the park’s official Twitter account.
