Hallmark Channel stars light the Lego Christmas tree at Legoland California
Hallmark Channel stars Brennan Elliott, Barbara Niven, and Ashley Williams officially kicked off the holiday season at Legoland California Resort with the 21st annual lighting of the park’s Lego Christmas tree.
Elliott (“UnREAL”) and Niven (“One Life to Live”) are both known for Hallmark Movies & Mysteries’ popular film franchise, “Crossword Mysteries,” as well as starring roles in Hallmark movies during the holiday season and year-round. Williams is best known for her starring role on “The Jim Gaffigan Show” and as Victoria in the hit series, “How I Met Your Mother.” Williams has starred in more than 11 Hallmark original movies, including the most recent Hallmark Channel premiere, “Notes of Autumn.”
Ronald McDonald House Charities Received $50,000 From the Family Theme Park
During the tree-lighting ceremony, 9-year-old Amor Bastidas (whose younger brother is being treated for a brain tumor at Rady Children’s Hospital) helped accept a $50,000 donation to Ronald McDonald House Charities from Legoland California on behalf of the three Hallmark Channel stars. Ronald McDonald House Charities provides “a home away from home” to families with critically ill or injured children.
Before pulling the switch to illuminate the Lego Christmas tree, Elliott, Niven, Williams, and Bastidas were each given a special Lego dinosaur ornament as an invitation to return when the Park unveils the new Dino Valley land, which is expected to open in the spring of 2024.
Guests at the event were also treated to a first look at the new Lego World Parade launching next summer and a special look at Hallmark Channel’s Countdown to Christmas movies, including Elliott and Niven’s new original Miracles of Christmas movie on Hallmark Movies & Mysteries, “Ms. Christmas Comes to Town.”
Holidays at Legoland California Resort
Holidays at Legoland California Resort takes place on select dates through Jan. 7, 2024, with festive décor, twinkling lights, holiday treats, falling snow, and live entertainment. Throughout the event, guests can take Christmas card photos in front of the larger-than-life Lego wreath, sing and dance along at the Jingle Jamboree, and meet and greet with new Lego characters, Lego Snowman and Lego Reindeer. All holiday activities are included with regular Park admission.
New this year, fireworks will light the sky every Saturday in December and on select evenings leading up to San Diego’s biggest Kids’ New Year’s Eve Party on Dec. 31, 2023.
